For multiplayer servers, the first person that joins is the one who receives the starter tools from Farm Fan. Everyone after that will receive compensation in Petals to buy the tools.

You can also harvest crops with the scythe to quickly harvest multiple crops. However be careful with crops that produce more than one harvest as a second hit will remove the crop. (Cucumbers are an example of a crop that can be harvested more than once, first swing gives cucumber, second would destroy the plant so be careful)
